DISPOSABLE & RECYCLABLE CURTAINS
B-Clean™ Curtains are designed to replace your existing reusable curtains in healthcare facilities such as hospitals, day surgeries, medical centers, and other healthcare facilities that require the use of curtains. They offer a cost-effective alternative to purchasing and washing reusable curtains, and with their proven ability to inhibit bacterial growth, they can improve infection control at your facility.
B-Clean™ Curtains are:
- Manufactured from 100% polypropylene, non-woven fabric – 120gsm
- Fire retardant (AS 2755.2-1985) – Failed to Burn
- Impregnated with anti-bacterial and anti-mildew chemicals, including nanometer silver (curtain and mesh)
Previous studies have demonstrated that pathogens such as Vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE), methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and Clostridium difficile are still present on non-disposable curtains even after one week post laundering (Ohl,M. et al. 2011). Even with steam cleaning, the curtains still remained contaminated (White, L.F; Dancer, S.J; Robertson, C; 2007).

TEST RESULTS
BRIDGE HEALTHCARE by Pelstar has undertaken anti-bacterial testing with an Australian-based, NATA approved laboratory. Importantly, the tests were undertaken on the actual B-Clean Curtains, not just the chemical themselves.
RECOMMENDED CHANGEOVER PROCEDURE FOR BRIDGE HEALTHCARE DISPOSABLE & RECYCLABLE CURTAINS
B-Clean™ Curtains with their impregnated anti-bacterial and anti-mildew chemicals, including nanometer silver, have a proven ability to inhibit and reduce bacterial growth. This means that the frequency of curtain change may be less than required by untreated reusable curtains (as per the NHMRC 2010 guidelines as indicated in the right hand column below) thus saving time and money.
The table below is an excerpt from an independent review and report on B-Clean™ Curtains detailing changeover recommendations. Contact BRIDGE HEALTHCARE Medical for a full copy of the review.
SARS-COV-2
The SARS-CoV-2 is an enveloped, positive-sense, single-stranded RNA virus. Coronaviruses are so named because of their characteristic solar corona (crown-like) appearance when observed under an electron microscope. Washing hands with soap and water or with alcohol-based hand rubs are effective for interrupting virus transmission. Literature evidence has shown that the nanoparticles (NPs) of various metals and metal oxides like Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are able to inactivate the virus and are well proven against other viruses like H1N1 (Elechiguerra, et al 2005; Galdiero, et al 2011; Kampf, G., Todt, D., Pfaender, S., Steinmann, E. 2020).
